August Wrap Up

This August has been one for the books. It’s had its ups and downs and in-betweens. I’ve started new chapters in my life and pondered the old. This reminds me fall is upon us all and something about this season makes me what to get my act together. Collect all my supplies needed and forge forward that this year, and by year I mean school year, I will be better and I will do better. As I move forward I can know with certainty that I will actually be better and strive to do better! But enough about the future this is about August!

Mash That Banana!

When you’re young they never tell you that your fruit/veggies go bad faster when you are the one buying them! We bought some bananas last week with hopes of eating them and alas they ripened too much… cause we didn’t actually eat them.  BUT these brown bananas definitely meant that I had the ultimate ingredient for some deliciously amazing banana bread. So now this blog title makes some sense and of course I’m in that phase where I’m trying to waste less and use up everything I have. 5 Books I’ve Read Recently

This summer I set out on a journey, well many journeys, but this one is tangible. I set out to read 8 books and as of last night, I finished half! You can find my full reading list here. I may have mentioned this before but I used to devour books. I was obsessed with reading in high school; I read maybe 1 book a week in addition to the novels we read in English classes.  Once college happened, I stopped. I maybe read a couple books as part of a series but that was all. I had lost my love of reading until this summer.
